checked the London Times and on Monday, May 17, 1852 there is an ad  
which reads:

NEW LIVERPOOL LINE of AUSTRALIAN
PACKETS.
MARIA, 1,014 tons, J.N. Forbes, Captain
BHURTPOOR, 1,034 tons, Geo. Bainbridge, Captain
ARGO, 999 tons, C. Mills, Captain.
For Port Philip and Sydney, the magnificent frigate-built
ship MARIA, J.N. Forbes, Commander (who has had much experience
in the trade), A 1 at Lloyd's, 1,014 tons register, coppered and
copper-fastened. Sails fast, and has splendid accommodation for
cabin, intermediate, and steerage passengers. has a full poop, and
carries a surgeon. For freight or passage apply to Pilkington and
Wilson; or James Baines and co., 6, Cook-street, Liverpool.
