[TSL] vessel movements between Gibraltar and the UK in 1864
Martyn Smith <Martyn.Smith@optus.com.au> on 07/22/2013

Hi List,

Would anyone happen to know about vessel movements between Gibraltar and the UK in 1864? I have a 3 x great grandfather George Hunt who was sent to Gibraltar as a convict and then removed back to the UK on 15th July 1846 on board a vessel called MACDRIDE, MALDRIDE or possible MADRID once his 4 years was up (vessel name in question as handwriting on original record is not so clear). The date is important for me as he was re-convicted in Cheshire 10 weeks after this journey and being able to trace his return path and timeline would assist me in knowing if he could have returned to Cheshire in time to commit again (and this be sent to Australia on the Bangalore)

Regards
Martyn Smith
