My grandmother wrote that her father, sister and parents emigrated in 1848 from Belfast to Quebec. They joined family in Argenteuil County, Quebec, northwest of Montreal. I've been unsuccessful, so far, in finding them among Port of Quebec passenger lists. Is it likely, or unlikely, that his ship disembarked at the Port of Montreal instead of Quebec--that my grandmother used the term Quebec to refer to the Province.
