Hello There:

I am requesting assistance, with many thanks, in trying to acquire any ifnormation on my family members immigration to Canada from England.  I shall send a separate query for each person.  I do not have a lot of information to go on as my mother is 86 and her memory is failing.

Two brother's travelling together along with their Uncle and Aunt:

Ernest Cutts
Age at immigration:  15 years old (I believe)
Date of birth:  August 16th, 1904
Place / birth:  Derbyshire, England
Port of Entry:  Canada - 1919 - not sure of what port
Destination  :  Settled in Ontario......32 Shepard Street, Port Arthur, Ontario.

Harry Cutts
Age at immigration:  13 (or 14) years old (I believe)
Date of birth:  July 31st, 1906 (or 1907)
Place / birth:  Derbyshire, England
Port of Entry:  Canada - 1919 - not sure of what port
Destination  :  Settled in Ontario.......32 Shepard Street, Port Arthur, Ontario

The two boys travelled with their Uncle William and Aunt Elizabeth Siddall

William Siddall
Age at immigration:  25 years old
Date of birth:  1894
Place / birth:  Curbar, Derbyshire, England
Port of Entry:  Canada - 1919 - not sure of what port
Destination  :  Settled in Ontario

William had already immigrated to Canada (Ontario) from England prior to WW I but returned to England and fought with the Little Red (or Black ??) Devils for England.  (The army marched from Winnipeg to Montreal and then made their way to England via Montreal).  Then he returned to Canada in 1919 bringing, with him, his two nephews Ernest and Harry, and his wife, Elizabeth, whom he married in England when he went back there to fight in the war.
Travelling with William, Ernest and Harry was William's wife.........
Elizabeth Siddall

I am interested in anything on my Uncle's (3) immigration to Canada.  That would include Declaration of Intention (is that the same document as Declaration Of Passenger to Canada?); Naturalization and Border Entry Records.

Thank you so very, very much for offering this assistance to the less informed.

Sincerely,

Rae Martin,
sunshine@iaw.com
