[TSL] S.S. Amsterdam - 1902?
"4witkowskis" <4witkowskis@msn.com> on 03/07/2002

According to two separate documents (census + Naturalization papers), my grand father immigrated in 1902 (so assume this is correct for year.)

According to his naturalization papers he arrived in New York abt June 1902.

He also states he left via Hamburg arriving in New York.

His ship was the S.S. Amsterdam.

Well, I can accept the 1902 part.  However, I can not verify that either the Amsterdam arrived in New York June 1902.

I also can not verify that the Amsterdam ever sailed from Hamburg.

My grandfather lived in Austria-Poland, Krosno Prov.  (His name Franciszek Adamski)

Do you have any ideas on the correct ship he might have used, or can you verify that the Amsterdam did sail June 1902, and if so out of Hamburg?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Julie
