... that we usually go in "fits and starts" at different times of year.

It is summertime in the Northern hemisphere, which might account for no 
messages ... but the opposite often happens when it is too hot 'somewhere 
in the world' or too cold 'somewhere in the world'

So, no, you are doing anything wrong and, the list doesn't go on holidays 
...... just the list members  :-}
