 This is a world wide list. Would have helped had you had given a
little more info as to where this bloke was from.  I saw VDL and
checked a few Tasmanian records .

 Possibly be some info in the UK newspapers  Also  could be worth
checking in Tasmanian newspapers  The Australian Trove newspapers
data base is free . When he died 17 June 1861 he left under
60,000 GBS pounds . He must have found ship owning  profitable !
