You don't mention his birth year, but might this be him ... indexed

Name: James Neish
Gender: Male
Estimated birth year: abt 1576 .......... abt 1876
Birth Place: Scotland
Age: 47
Date of Arrival: Jul 1623 .... 1923
Port of Arrival: Vancouver, British Columbia
Port of Departure: Sydney, Australia
Ship Name: Niagara

The arrival was 6th? July 1923 and he was returning to wife Euphemia Neish
at 1687 Georgia street, W. Vancouver. He was a "Fitter" born in Scotland,
emigrated to Canada at Montreal in 1905. He departed Vancouver 27 May 1923
with the intention of settling in Australia. His passage from Australia was
paid by "Freemasons, Sydney, NSW." He claims a crippled leg, which might
mean he was injured ??

I checked all the other online records at Ancestry and I am pretty well
convinced that this is him
